Great ideas to come across like the concept of no self, the use of incorporating another person s religious spiritual beliefs to help them, and different kinds of therapies Did not realize this was going to be a collection of essays though.

Highly recommended reading Valuable chapters by many of the leading researchers in the field, all from a perspective based in the value of mindfulness and giving credit and respect to Buddhism Good chaps by Siegel, Pargament, Linehan This was a course text and so I read the entire thing only criticism is that there was much overlap and therefore repetition.

I liked this book as a therapist and as a mindfulness practitioner Mindfulness can be viewed as internal attunement it is about being connected with moment to moment experience with our authentic sense of self The practice of mindfulness involves bringing kindly refined awareness to our moment to moment experience accepting our moment to moment experience with open eyes and open hearts.
