Sir Alan of Strode helps his friend Tavish in his final days When Tavish writes a last letter for his wife and asks Alan about it, Alan agrees it is good and he promises to see it through Alan cannot read and does not realize he has just promised to marry Honor, Tavish s wife. After The Bruce reads the letter, he Knight s Alan and commands him to follow through with the letter still unbeknownst to Alan what it says.Honor reads the letter and feels it is a trick from Alan until he promises he did [...]

I really liked this one For a HQN Romance, it s not bad I was a fan of Alan, especially in the beginning He was so endearing How he was so excited and in awe about the view spoiler baby kicking and wanting to be a father to her even though she wasn t his hide spoiler For the time period, he is definitely a catch I m sure there weren t many men around that time that would be as understanding, thoughtful, patient and caring as he was Honor as far as heroine s go, I understood where she came from, [...]

Lyn Stone is the the reason I ended up with a box of Harlequin romances I really like her books and to get them off ebay, bought lots including her books I have learned my lesson I now buy hers one at a time Unfortunely I still have about 30 Harlequins to go through But, they haven t all been horrible, just than half.

  4. Menina com Livros

After The Scottish and with the history of Medieval Shrek, Sir Alan, Lynn Stone is between my favorites authors They are many, I know, but is a good thing, I have a big, big, big heart Thank God

  5. Phylisha Stone

A sweet well written romance set in Scotland around early 1314 The main characters, Allen of Strode and Lady Honor who is in hiding from her family to avoid marrying a French count who s prior two wives died under mysterious circumstances During those times women did what they were told by their fathers or their husbands Even tho it doesn t seem as plausible for her character to be as outspoken and aggressive, I liked her Overall a very enjoyable read.
