This was a very cool book I like this book because I like how Drover is so scared and runs away every time there is a murder I also like that Hank calls an airplane silver monster bird When the owl fixes Hank s problem and then he has to do a riddle, Hank solves the riddle The owl is amazed because no one figures out the owl s riddles This book was also really funny I enjoyed it a lot.

Hank s in trouble with a burrowing owl, a Doberman Pincher and the dreaded Eye crosserosis And again, he must tolerate airheads, birdbrains, clodpolls, dimwits, ignoramuses, and jackasses Well actually, no donkeys in this story Say what you want to about Dickens, Tolstoy, Hemmingway or Nicholas Sparks I ll take John R Erickson every time Pure genius Page 93 You might say I run the ranch So my opinion carries a little weight Ah, so you run this ranch Yes ma am, and have for several years I see Do [...]

Yep, it s Hank again. The Story.Hank s the bearer of one intense job But he bears it nobly Why, only this morning he rescued the ranch from an evil monster bird with bright shiny feathers that made a terrible roaring noise as it swooped over the ranch But Hank held his ground and the frightened bird swooped off to terrorize another farm, leaving Hank pretty pleased with himself. But a few minutes later when Sally May gives Hank s fried egg to Pete the barncat, Hank is furious Through the bedevilry [...]

Very cute story In this adventure, Hank is attempting to win the affections of Beulah, the collie next door, all while trying to out dog his rival, Plato, and battle a severe case of eye crosserosis Though he thinks he has found a way to cure his ailment, he must solve Madame Moonshine s riddle, which is notorious for being impossible Does Hank figure it out Will he get his eyesight back in time to win over Beulah Find out This is a wonderful story, and a great series to keep in the classroom It [...]

John M Erickson, Hank the Cowdog, vol 2 The Further Adventures of Hank the Cowdog Puffin Books, 1983 Hank s second adventure of I no longer know, but it s a number larger than many starts out with Hank, after a tussle with something he shouldn t have tussled with, developing a nasty case of crossed eyetis and needing to go find himself a solution before he gets offed by anything from his girl s new boyfriend, a nasty pinscher, to the local barn cat Very simple language, straightforward plot, lot [...]

I had seen this series highly recommended for children, but my lack of enthusiasm for dogs led to my not checking it out Then I read an interview with the author who lives in Perryton, TX, near my mother s family and his Christian perspective so I read a Hank book The first in the series was not available, but this was representative, I m sure Hank pretty much runs the ranch He has that Texas arrogance that I love It s become a favorite of my ten year old granddaughter When you re made of steel, [...]

I liked this book because it was about dogs and because it had an adventure My favorite part was when a bald eagle threw up on a coyote This was funny because the coyotes said awe, nasty and then they ran away Another favorite part was when Hank scared Pete, the cat, and Pete fell into a sewer bin I would recommend this book for kid s ages 10 12 It was a good book.
