As one Texan to another, Ms Baylor, ya did good The authenticity of Southern lingo along with bear hugs and open displays of affection were right on I adored Daphne, the heroine as well as her reluctant hero, Mick Of course there was some good ole baggage to move past with both characters but on a ranch called, Crazy one comes to expect a little bit of everything This book had just the right amount of drama, angst, and turmoilwithout a specific character showing signs of complete cluelessness, t [...]

I received this novel from NetGalley. This novel is homely and humble, if not a little over the top and sometimes cringingly awkward. The writing itself is great and flows through the novel.A good little summer read.

I finished this book in a single day, between two sittings I was starving, and couldn t wait any I really enjoyed this book, and the battle between Mitch and Daphne A few times I wanted to strangle Mitch, but I m happy with how everything turned out When Daphne shows up at the Crazy Ranch in Texas to stay with her Nana, after a meltdown, and getting fired from her job, she ends up with a shotgun pointed at her head How much worse can things get, right Mitch is the one holding that shotgun, and t [...]

I thought this book was cute and sweet. It is pretty much a short, cute romance story that involves Nana, Daphne, Mick and the town of Crazy Loyalty, family, friendship and cooperation, and maybe a dash of stubbornness, are a reoccurring theme throughout the story Right away, we meet a distraught and disillusioned Daphne, travelling through the night from L.A to Crazy, Texas For a city slicker turned country girl, Daphne really does work hard to improve herself after spending some time drowning h [...]

A Crazy Homecoming is a good story that takes place in one of my favorite places in the world Texas This is very much a contemporary, small town, cowboy romance Daphne has had a rough life growing up Now her boss has not only fired her but has broken up with her as well So she heads to the only place she has ever felt that was like a home to her, her grandmother s ranch called Crazy There she is greeted by Mick and his shotgun Mick is very protective of Crazy as well as Daphne s Nana who is the [...]

This offering from Cate Baylor was a quirky, laughing quietly to myself, wonderful read.It was a sweet, gentle romance, just the kind to curl up with on a lazy Autumn day The characters were solid, likeable people not only the lead couple but the supporting characters It wasn t hard to become emotionally invested in the happily ever after here The pacing was even, the setting quite detailed, and the dialogue witty and appropriate to both the characters and the situations The story was well plott [...]

I normally hate novels like thisiched love stories with the city girl and the country boy or vice versa where they start off with tension between them and wind up in a fairy tale romancebut for some reason I actually liked A Crazy Homecoming There were some elements outside of the love story that made up for knowing exactly how the main characters relationship was going to play out Totally worth the time it took to read.I received this book for free via a giveaway.

3.5 Stars This was a cutesy romance Daphne Simms is running from a situation from a big city Mick Williams was a run away child fostered by Daphne s grandmother on the ranch Two people who are opposites, sparks start to ignite This is a light read that I would consider taking to the beach with me A fun enjoyment.I was provided an ARC through GoodReads First Reads program of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I thoroughly loved this book from start to finish The characters were fleshed out and realistic, it felt like you could know them in real life The setting was interesting and well developed, at times it felt like you were sitting there seeing the things Daphne was seeing I am eagerly await the next book in this series

This is a short novella, not a book There is no development of the characters so I didn t really care what happened to them This had the promise to be a good story if the author had spent time rounding out the characters and the storyline.
