Such A Good Book Don t be lulled into thinking this is just another baseball book As with other VK Sykes books, baseball is definitely a backdrop but the story is pure romance Very well written with characters that come to life on the pages make this a book you will definitely want to read Once I started I couldn t put it down Highly recommended

Cute story lots of interesting things to think about especially with the Oil Wells and the environment Things I haven t really thought of before With Noah Pitching for the Patriots is what s important to him While recovering from an injury, his main focus is to get back on the mount but when his elderly Aunt whom he loves a lot can t take care of her 2 dogs any, she makes Noah promise that he ll do whatever he can to keep them happy But being a pitcher , and working on his arm, he didn t have th [...]

4 out of 5 stars Noah has had it tough lately trying hard to make a comeback from his TJ injury and with his father pushing him to get involved in the family oil business, the last thing he wants to deal with are his aunts two rambunctious dogs Yet, because of the dogs Teddy a professional dog walker, a college student who wants to become a lawyer, and an environmental activist comes into his life to change it for better Will they be able to overcome their differences though Especially when the [...]

Another great romance sports novel from V.K Sykes Payoff Pitch has Noah Cade, a pitcher for the Philadelphia Patriots He s having problems with his career, 2 dog s, and a beautiful but feisty dog walker Teddy Quinn is offered a great job by Noah to add to her already thriving dog walking business As she s saving to go to law school she takes it.The story was very well written There s hot spicy romance, and the character s faced believable problem s in a close relationship and life I enjoyed it v [...]

Loved the complex relationship between Teddy and Noah in this fifth book in the series It was a little less alienating to a non baseball lover than the fourth book and I really appreciated how the authors incorporated such a hot issue like fracking into the story line I do think, however, they missed out on a piece of the plot by not showing how Noah came to the decision he did about his baseball future I would have liked to hear the end of that thought process and how Teddy may have helped him [...]

First book I ve read from this author Unique story that I enjoyed It did seem to feel like it dragged some and wondered when I was getting closer to the end I loved the characters and the dogs Baseball is a sport that I truly love and was easy to understand within the story I would definitely read from the author This is my honest opinion based on ARC.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickPayoff Pitch is the fifth book in the Philadelphia Patriots series written by the husband and wife writing duo going by the name V.K Sykes Vanessa Kelly and Randy Sykes This book immediately drew me in because I am a huge sports romance fan, and I also was really intrigued by the idea of a husband and wife writing together While I did like Noah and Teddy and I liked several portions of this story, I did have a few issues overall though The fir [...]

Whether PAYOFF PITCH is the latest book in the Philadelphia Patriots series you have read or the fifth, there is much to enjoy while never feeling lost because of in depth details An individual connected to a professional baseball team finds himself facing numerous changes that could drastically alter his life from the dream he has long held When he becomes involved with a woman whose beliefs are much different from his own, the turmoil he is going through multiplies The husband and wife who are [...]

2.5Light read but too much politics It s good that such environmental concern is being raised to give the readers some perspective regarding the issue and I appreciated it at first however, when there had been too many debates between several characters about fracking, it turned quite agonizing for someone who doesn t really like politics that much me Also, other than the obvious physical attraction, I don t see how the MCs fell in love with each other when they only knew each other for a short [...]

This book needs a proofreader stat I quit counting after than a dozen typos errors Such a shame since this series has really got the stuff I would otherwise love This dual author combo has the stuff for good fiction, story development, tugs at heartstrings, hot hunks and baseball lingo This could have been a great story I realize the pressure to get the next edition in a series out can be intense, especially when you re getting feedback and readers clamoring for As a reader, however, I would r [...]

I typically enjoy these sorts of light hearted, predictable romance novels They re an escape from the real world and I have enjoyed VK s sporty version enough to buy each new one as it came out For the first half of this book I thought it would be the same Teddy is charming and not so self deprecating to be annoying Noah is confident and sexy and there s enough going on with his career and his injuries to give him some dimension Then came the politics Every time Teddy opened her mouth after the [...]

I am a fan of this well written and obviously well researched series V.K Sykes has given readers a lovely realistic world to visit again and again Payoff Pitch is number 5 in the series, but could stand alone I strongly recommend that you invest your time in the entire series You will find yourself reading about the kind of people you would like in your own life The characters are engaging and definitely interesting I found it easy to become emotionally involved in the outcome of the story, and [...]

Interesting readThere are a lot of themes in this book First is the love story between Teddy and Noah Noah is a professional baseball player who has had Tommy john surgery and is rehabbing as his favorite aunt eases him to take her to dogs as she moves into an assisted living facility Teddy is a professional dog walker whose client escapes and she runs into the sexy neighbor, Noah A series of events brings them together but can their love stand up to the outside influences including their respec [...]

I have really enjoyed this series, but just found myself turned off by this one I found Teddy to be terribly annoying Other than great sex, I just didn t buy the bond between Teddy and Noah And while a worthy concern, the excessive attention paid to the debate over frakking made the book seem of a political treatise than a romance.

  18. Samantha

Noah and Teddy were an interesting story From Teddy s beliefs in the environment and caring for the dogs To Noah s struggles in pitching, family issues, and his house keeper It was interesting there were moments of great chemistry between Noah and teddy and of course the fur babies Toby and Sadie I think ultimately are what keeps Noah and teddy together All in all it was good.

Not a big fan on this one compared to the others in the series Just couldn t get past the dog walker part as I didn t find it fitting to the story, especially the moving in part Just seemed a bit silly to me Also, lots of errors in the writing which gets on my nerves when reading.

If I had known anything at all about baseball, I m sure I would have given stars in this series, but I found it hard to follow in those parts, otherwise nice read.

i enjoyed this book it was a fun and easy read it was nice to see previous characters from the other books in the series make an appearance in this one
