Brief BiasedLee believes the Amish are not doing Christianity right She provides a scant history of the sect, but it is plain that she objects to their interpretation of belief.

This book is PART TWO of Amish History Someone must have during a final edit accidentally set to change in ALL text the letter q to bold because anywhere one reads a word such as equality, antiques, quilts, techniques well, as you can see it adds a bit of space surrounding the letter The book remains quite readable I suspect the edit was meant for only ONE entry not throughout the book. While the title subtitle does not indicate the writing is based on the Amish of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, [...]

This book has I assume some basically good information if you want a quick overview, but honestly you re probably better off just reading if this is the level of information you want It reads like a series of essays written by a group of evangelical Christian high school students, which was then compiled into a single work It has lots of problems It s shallow It is factually inconsistent in places One essay or chapter says that no Amish live in Europe any , having all emigrated to the new world [...]

GoodThe history of the Amish contained in this book is interesting However, the majority of the information is widely known and widely available through other means I was hoping for some information about the Amish that I did not already know.

InformativeGives a lot of facts about the history and beliefs of the Amish and the Anabaptist I learned a lot.

  6. Brian Bigelow

There was a lot of things in this book I didn t know before There is however some repetition of the material that probably should have been addressed during editing.

  7. Judy Peterson

Good Informative BookAlthough the book was very repetitive, it was also very interesting I would be interested in learning about the Amish community and their lifestyle.
