3.5Another fun addition to the series I liked that this one was a little different, after Thomas sends for a wife he turns her away the second she arrives because she is too pretty He specifically asked for a homely wife The rest of the book is him realizing his mistake and trying to win her back I m a big fan of Diane Darcy, it was actually through stalking following her that I found out about this whole series, so I was really looking forward to her book I liked Rachel and Thomas and was happy [...]

Enjoyable storyI truly enjoyed this story The author has done a great job of telling her story The story of adventure, romance, and suspense is a well laid out tale.

Finally a bride.I truly loved the story. Both characters had issues they needed to deal with before they realized how much they loved each other. Both were stubborn, admitted to themselves, but not each other that they were falling in love.To go from mail order bride,to governess to clerk in a store and finally to being a bride.

Rachel Bride of New Hampshire American Mail Order Bride 9 By Diane Darcy4 5 starsRachel never wanted to have to depend on a man to live and doesn t want her last chance to be marriage She has major trust issues with men But after the fire at the Brown Textiles Mill and all job options were exhausted, she reluctantly decided to answer a groom s letter, even though she doesn t meet one specific requirement.Thomas Buchanan specifically wanted a homely bride for a couple of reasons Due to the betray [...]

Even though the author wrote a story that I m sure entertained others, this just didn t work for me She didn t want to be a mail order bride, but did so out of necessity He requested an ugly woman for his wife to be, something which I found distasteful, because his reasoning was that if she was ugly, she wouldn t leave him for another man I just couldn t find anything redeeming about their romance 2 stars for what I did read I could not finish this one.

A young woman moves north to a better life Rachel is another of the factory workers who is out of a job after the fire and out of options in general Going to New Hampshire as a mail order bride provides her with many options including not getting married I am reading these in order The author did a good job in continuity with the other stories It definitely is a different twist in the mail order bride story.

I ve read a couple of other books by Diane Darcy so I looked forward to reading her book in this series This story is a little different than the others I ve read so far Rachel doesn t want to be a mail order bride, but has no other options, and her groom doesn t really want to marry again, so he asks for a homely bride These two people have one misunderstanding miscommunication after another before they finally unlock their hearts to let love in again.

This is a nice twist on the mail order bride idea Thomas sends for an ugly bride, and no one is interested in his letter The only option for Rachel, she sets out to meet him Thomas refuses her because she s way too attractive And then regrets it Ah, that s a good beginning to working it out.

This book tells the story of a bride and groom who have both suffered betrayal and have a hard time trusting one another There are also several misunderstandings that provide obstacles on their path to true love This is a delightful contribution to this 50 book series Plus, it took place in New Hampshire.

Rating 4 stars maybe even 4.5 I am kind of intrigued by the idea of 50 mail order brides one for every state in the union I happened upon this because I like Diane Darcy s stories so I decided to give it a chance It is a sweet, clean romance and I really liked the characters I enjoyed the love story Now I need to go find out what happened with Violet.
