Though the scholarship in the book is outdated, this is a veteran work in Copper Scroll studies As one of the few witnesses of the Copper Scroll s daring opening, Allegro was the first to try and decipher the difficult text The book s focal point is the facsimile of the Hebrew text and English translation of the Copper Scroll locations Allegro describes the finding, opening, and initial studies of the metal document, as well as his own brief attempt to locate the Copper Scroll s treasures.
