I found an old list of comics that I read back when I was a teenagerSo, I ve read a few comics by Matsumoto over the years and they ve got this artsy, incomplete feel to them where there s just enough dialogue and images to construct a framework but it s very much up to your interpretation You can take the story as deep as you want or keep it light and superficial And I used to love that back when because I had an overactive imagination still do and I was than happy to fill in the gaps.Rereadin [...]

  2. Christina (A Reader of Fictions)

I feel like this could have been something awesome, with the relatively unique set up around dancing, but all of the emotional arcs are incredibly weak Characters are introduced for seemingly no reason at all and crushes come out of nowhere Everyone lacks emotion and it leaves the reader feeling empty and confused.

Nope Nope NOPE.I didn t like the drawing style and the story was oh so boring, I was going to fall asleep while reading this one, seriously.Again, NO.

This is not as strange as some of Matsumoto s works, but it s still got that same feel Matsumoto doesn t waste words to describe feelings, rather it feel objective, like I m just watching a series of images passing over each other creating a narrative with my own head It s interesting.Another story I liked by her is Senaka no Otoko It s both strange and sweet at the same time I read it here mangafox manga senaka_no_ot

  5. Rhapsody

A one volume story about a high school girl who falls for one of the guys in her class who is a talented dancer He does some kind of street dancing to rock music and becomes involved with her older brothers in a dancing group. Not a good enough story to make me read it very carefully I like the art, but couldn t get into this one.

Breakdancing does not translate well to paper, heh Slice Of Life story with a pinch of romance, takes place in an urbanized area of Japan with down to earth teen characters If that sounds interesting, try Beck instead This one ends up being too banal and doesn t make decent use of the 1 vol format.

Art nya Matsumoto sensei lagi lagi membingungkan di beberapa bagian yang menggunakan pergantian POV, tapi setelah dibaca ulang, jadi bagus banget P
