I really enjoyed reading this book I think it is a good book about good character development throughout a story that you could use in a lesson with kids Throughout the book, you see the wolves and the three pigs changing their thinking and becoming loving and accepting of each other This could also be a good lesson about accepting each other without judgement and realizing that people may not be as bad as they seem I really enjoyed reading it for the story, and the illustrations were really cut [...]

Introducing to you the PYGG brothers James, Marvin and Lester Pygg to be exact They are not your typical pigs as we find out early on in the book They are trying to figure out how to build a house of brick Sound familiar They discuss building materials such as hay and twigs for speed, but James convinces the other brothers they need a house made out of sturdy bricks to keep them warm and safe Soon a wolf shows up at their door named Wilfong and demands to come inside The Pygg brothers refuse him [...]

The Pygg brothers build a sturdy house, and outsmart a hungry wolf Wilfong Wilfong, in turn, tries to ousmart them and mostly fails The Pygg brothers view him as of a minor annoyance than a threat Eventually, the Pygg brothers, James, Marvin, and Lester, come to pity the wolf They mostly befriend him, but don t fully trust him, as he IS a wolf, and we all know what big, bad wolves do to little pigs Wilfong swears that he is reformed, and truly wants to be a part of their lives.Together, they ta [...]

A spin off of The Three Little Pigs, this wolf begins like any other big bad wolf but after waiting all winter for the three Pygg brothers to come out of their house while listening to their stories and jokes and eating their food, Wilfong the wolf doesn t feel so big and bad any In fact, he sincerely wants to be the pigs friend, but can he convince the Pygg brothers of his reformation With humorous illustrations, this is an amusing chapter book that would be great for advanced beginning readers [...]

I found reading this one to be rather delightful for a first chapter book It s another silly retelling of The Three Pigs that twists things around I especially liked the illustrations which had a loose wackiness to them they re sort of like a detailed Daniel Pinkwater Anyway, this was fun and easy and catchy.

A really funny late beginning reader early chapter book that turns the tale of the Three Little Pigs on its ear Some of the pages, scenarios and episodes are successful than others, but as a whole, this is a good read that introduces new vocabulary and a wry sense of humor.

When the Pygg brothers meet a wolf by the name of Wilfong, adventures ensure Will Wilfong gain their trustd should he My early elementary readers LOVED this book which is not so much a re telling of the classic tale of the Three Little Pigs so much as a ever after tale.

BL 2.8 Very cute Twist on 3 Pig story The 3 Pygg brothers build one house and they slowly build a friendship with Wolf Short chapters.

  9. Heather

A bit bizarre, but a fun new version of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf that should amuse younger readers.

4 1 2 stars A new twist on the 3 Little Pigs And so much fun There was a lot of humor here, and a message without being preachy An early reader with a very readable story.
